What you'll do

- Anticipate the needs of our customers and put them first in all that you do
- Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to achieve success and foster colleague growth
- Be committed to maintaining merchandising and operational standards
- Be accountable for departmental sales results and financial objectives

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.

  • To direct and supervise all Soup, Sandwich, Chill & Grill staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service;

  • To respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times;

  • To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ goals, budgets and shrink targets are met;

  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, inventory and display of merchandise;

  • To hire all part-time staff and train new employees;

  • To schedule all Soup, Salad and Sandwich clerks ensuring the strict control of wage costs;

  • To interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the union contract;

  • To ensure the maintenance of equipment as well as the safety and sanitation of the department;

  • To ensure compliance with the company food safety standards, regulations and audits;

  • Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the prepared foods industry, with previous management experience in either a restaurant or fast food operation;

  • Post-secondary education in culinary preparation, such as line cooking procedures are a definite asset;

  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, and weekends;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure;

  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
