The Insights Team is a team of future-focused strategic partners who collaborate with leaders across the Enterprise to define and measure business strategies founded on human insight. To achieve these goals, we are looking for a talented and driven individual who is an expert at research methodologies and has a knack of turning research into effective insights to drive strategy, solve challenging problems, and make a significant and lasting impact on the lives of Canadians.
About this Role
As a Manager on the Strategic Insights team, you will own and drive key initiatives by working with stakeholders from across Loblaw Companies to solve complex business problems, using a human-centric approach. You will leverage internal data, brand health metrics, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and syndicated research to help develop and deliver deep and actionable insights. You will lead the presentations for your projects that enable stakeholders to create and implement human-centered strategies based on your insights. You will have the opportunity to work on challenges from across industries such as banking, loyalty, CPG, retail, eCommerce, and more!
This role would report to the Director, Strategic Insights in the Marketing and Brands Enablement team at LCL.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with different teams from across the business to interpret business problems into research inquiries and execute strategic projects
Work with research partners to execute best in class consumer research
Unite disparate, often complex sources of customer information and transform them into clear and actionable insights.
Have a strong strategic mindset and design thinking to inform problem-solving.
Have a strong understanding of Brand Health methodologies and data interpretation.
Create powerful and visually strong reports that allow you to tell a story through data, and drive action
Proactively identify future-focused business opportunities based on industry trends and customer research
Explore the use of innovative research methods to deliver more meaningful, actionable information and recommendations to the business
Present your findings to colleagues across all levels of the organization
How You’ll Do It
Excellent communicator with experience in developing and presenting novel insights to stakeholders/clients, using advanced storytelling skills
Strong leadership skills along with being an effective team player with the ability to build and maintain cross functional relationships
In-depth understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
Sound knowledge and exposure to brand and marketing strategy to drive strategic solutions from data and insights
Ability to analyze complex datasets and managing first and third-party research and tools
Excellent project management, organization, and analytical skills
Willingness to learn, ask questions, make decisions and adapt to ambiguous environments
Role Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in research industry, within agencies or marketing companies
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in human sciences like Psychology, Sociology and others.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on and take ownership of projects.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment and deal with ambiguity.
Excellence in communication skills and a talent in telling stories through data.
Excellence in collaboration across multiple teams in the organization.
Strength in project management, time management and organizing teams towards a common goal.
Is solution oriented, driving actions towards effective outcomes.
Experience with retail industry an asset.
Experience with brand health methodology an asset.
Experience with brand strategy an asset.
The primary office for this role will be the Loblaw office in Brampton and the company follows a 4-day work-from-office, with 1 day work-from-home policy.
