What the role does

The Senior Change Manager, Strategic Partnership Management (SPM) is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery oversight of non-BAU requests between Loblaw and EQ Bank as part of the strategic partnership. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Partnership Management, this role serves as the single front door for change management and governance activity related to the Loblaw / EQ Bank partnership — receiving, triaging, prioritizing and routing inbound requests from EQ Bank while also coordinating outbound commitments from Loblaw to EQB.

Working within the broader partnership strategy, the Senior Change Manager is responsible for developing processes, plans and governance to turn strategic priorities into coordinated execution. This includes establishing effective intake and prioritization processes, developing integrated change plans and roadmaps, identifying dependencies and capacity considerations, and evolving ways of working as the partnership matures.

This role sits at the intersection of partnership governance and execution. It orchestrates change activity such as marketing, digital, data sharing and technology requests across Loblaw's internal functions and business units to ensure that new requests are assessed and delivered in a timely, consistent and commercially sound manner. It also ensures that related obligations under the partnership agreement are tracked, prioritized and delivered, with emerging risks or trade-offs proactively identified and escalated.

The Senior Change Manager will use insights from delivery performance, stakeholder feedback and recurring issues to recommend and implement improvements to partnership processes and governance, supporting greater efficiency, predictability and partner experience over time.

This is a high-visibility role requiring strong project and change management skills, the ability to influence across a matrixed organization, and strong communication skills to manage both internal stakeholders and an external partner relationship at a senior level.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end intake, triage and prioritization of non-BAU partnership change and marketing requests across EQ Bank and Payments Network relationships, serving as the central coordination point and ensuring requests are assessed against strategic priorities, contractual commitments, feasibility and delivery capacity.
  • Translate partnership strategy into coordinated execution by building and maintaining integrated change plans, roadmaps and forward calendars that align Loblaw business, marketing, digital, data and technology teams around shared priorities, milestones and accountabilities.
  • Orchestrate delivery across a complex, matrixed stakeholder environment, bringing together the right functional and technical owners to align on scope, timing, resource requirements, dependencies and decisions, and driving clarity on ownership through to completion.
  • Manage competing priorities and capacity constraints across multiple concurrent workstreams, using sound judgment to identify trade-offs, resolve issues where possible and escalate material risks, delays, conflicts or scope changes to the Director in a timely manner.
  • Provide delivery oversight against partnership commitments and obligations, including campaign activations, placement targets, digital and technology milestones and other contractual deliverables, maintaining clear visibility to progress, outcomes and areas requiring intervention.
  • Lead the day-to-day change relationship with EQ Bank partnership teams and coordinate with Payments Network partners, setting clear expectations on feasibility, timing, prioritization and decisions while ensuring a responsive, consistent and high-quality partner experience.
  • Establish and maintain strong governance discipline across partnership change activity, including centralized intake and request tracking, project plans, status reporting, decision and commitment records, and accurate documentation to support transparency and accountability.
  • Develop high-quality governance and executive reporting for Monthly Business Reviews, executive committees and other senior forums, synthesizing delivery status, key performance indicators, financial or campaign performance, upcoming activations, risks and decisions into clear, decision-ready materials.
  • Support partnership planning throughout the year by consolidating business and technology plans, campaign roadmaps and commitments, maintaining alignment between Loblaw and partner priorities, and ensuring changes to the plan are reflected in delivery roadmaps and governance forums.
  • Drive continuous improvement in how partnership change is managed by identifying recurring pain points, reviewing delivery performance and lessons learned, and implementing scalable improvements to intake, governance, templates, tracking tools and ways of working that improve efficiency, predictability and partner experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in project management, change management, program management or a related coordination role within a complex, matrixed environment; experience with a central intake or coordination function is an asset.
  • Proven ability to translate strategic priorities into practical operating plans, governance processes, workstreams, milestones and delivery roadmaps.
  • Strong judgment, organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, identify trade-offs and escalate or push back constructively when required.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with confidence managing senior internal and external stakeholders and preparing executive-level reporting and recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to implement scalable processes and tools; proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Familiarity with loyalty programs, marketing or campaign management is a strong asset.
