About Us:
Centralized Pharmacy Services (CPS) is a division of Shoppers Drug Mart that prepares medication packs (CPAK) and prescription vials that are distributed at the stores to patients. Centralized production of these products enables the pharmacist and team at Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw Pharmacies to spend their time focusing on what is important – the patient!

Job Summary:
Reporting to Director of Operations, the Supervisor, Supply Chain - CPS will lead the Inventory, Shipping and Receiving and Order Confirmation teams for the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management, Shipping and Receiving:
- Responsible to develop and maintain inventory management policies, process and procedures based on industry best practices. 
- Manage the relationship with Inventory and Procurement teams to provide effective communication of changes to purchase habits as well as resolutions to product shortages, damages, long-term unavailability, and discontinued items. 
- Review clinical and operations initiatives to determine inventory needs, considering current on hand inventory and the required lead times to ensure Central Pharmacy Services can execute on initiatives. 
- Manage customer returns and expired products in accordance with established disposal protocol (e.g. Stericycle One Box) 
- Prioritize recalls and immediately isolate product; quarantine until details of the recall are provided. 
- Management of preferred generic product e.g. DSP. Monitor and maintain MMS by performing daily Inventory tasks like Holding tanks, updating UPCs, utilizing suggested orders. 
- Maintain Overstock to ensure the uninterrupted supply of all products. Track and communicate low stock and out of stock situations according to pharmacy procedures. 
- Oversee the Inventory workflow processes to effectively prioritize and manage efficiencies within your team. 
- Oversee the shipping and receiving process 
- Ensure daily shipments to stores are shipped accurately and on time 
Order Confirmation:

- Oversee the order confirmation workflow processes to effectively prioritize and manage efficiencies within the team. 
- Responsible to develop and maintain order confirmation policies, process and procedures. 
- Update receiving sheet on a weekly basis. 
- Work closely with internal teams to escalate any issues. 
- Update documentation as new stores are onboarded. Work closely with cross functional teams within CPS to lead new initiatives for the order confirmation team. 
Leadership:
- Organize and manage the workloads and priorities of the team Provide effective leadership and regular coaching to team members to maximize productivity and their development, and to keep them informed on current and new processes. 
- Plan and implement the training of new hires. 
- Ensure the effective completion of all tasks. 
- Ensure employee compliance with guidelines and standards for the operation. 
- Act as a liaison between the Pharmacy Operations Management Team, and team members providing effective communication regarding team performance, workloads, and meeting the needs of the clients. 
- Regularly meet with the Pharmacy Management Team as required, to share information, solve problems, improve efficiencies, and develop policies and procedures to ensure optimal pharmacy operations. 
- Regularly review operations and employee performance indicators, including necessary documentation to ensure objectives are met; with assistance from the Pharmacy Operations Management Team, ensure appropriate performance management practices are incorporated including onboarding of new hires, goal setting, regular feedback, progressive discipline, and annual performance reviews are conducted. 
- Ensure proper daily staffing levels to optimize performance of the operation and the staff. 
- Ensure effective integration of new team members to the organization 
- Monitor the team’s error rate and follow up as required to minimize any repeat occurrences. 
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of Inventory Management or Supply Chain experience 
- A minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience; demonstrated ability to manage others and experience building highly effective teams, and a fun and rewarding culture. 
- Knowledge of current pharmacy operations an asset, however, must demonstrate ability to acquire satisfactory working knowledge within 3 months. 
- Post-secondary education 
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Inventory Management preferred 
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate through a variety of computer systems quickly. 
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
- Excellent organization and time management skills. 
- Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. 
- Team player and able to work with minimal supervision. 
- High attention to detail. This role requires employees to be flexible to work a variety of shifts during the business’ hours of operations including weekend shifts and statutory holidays.
