Team Lead, SRE

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Lead to lead our Cloud Automation and Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining processes and policies to ensure the proper usage of our cloud resources, optimizing our cloud costs, and automating key processes across the organization.

You will be a key member of the leadership team and will work closely with our other SRE and business teams to ensure that our platform strategy aligns with our overall enterprise goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for building and managing a team of SREs who are responsible for the day-to-day management of our cloud environment, including the development and maintenance of cloud platform services.

What you will be doing

• Develop and implement policies, process improvements, and automation for the proper usage of our cloud resources, including the management of access controls, security, and compliance.

• Identify and implement cost optimization strategies to ensure that our cloud costs are optimized and in line with our business objectives.

• Automate key processes across the organization to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.

• Own end-to-end availability, performance, and incident management of platform services and associated automation.

• Lead a team of talented Site Reliability Engineers responsible for the day-to-day management of our cloud environment, including the development and maintenance of platform services.

• Monitor and report on key metrics related to cloud usage, cost, and performance.

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and evolving threats, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.

What you bring

• Strong emphasis on SRE as an engineering discipline with a focus on automation and cost optimization.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in writing infrastructure code, designing solutions using cloud technologies, and implementing SRE best practices.

• Experience with Cloud Adoption Frameworks and Architecture Frameworks of any of the major cloud providers.

• 2+ years of experience managing people or teams, and leading projects.

• Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
